Using Premiere's Integrated Control Safety System or PICSS™ allows our Customers to run pipe with the security of not dropping the string of pipe. This is performed by controlling the signal to the spider and elevator which establishes that the slips on one tool are securely latched around the pipe prior to allowing the slips of the other tool to be opened.
Premiere also has built in two safety features on our system:
* Collar Monitoring System
** No Pipe Monitoring System
* With the special tooling, Premiere's design does not allow the control panel to react if the collar has been latched therefore not allowing the mating tool to open.
** A second safety feature monitors if the pipe is not inside the elevator and the slips are set. With this option, Premiere's special tooling does not allow the mating tool to open.
